I live in Spring Hill, Tn about 30 -40 miles south of Nashville. According to antennaweb.org I need a Large Directional pre amped antenna to reach all of the channels in my area ( Blue and Purple zones ). Any suggestions as to which one workes the best and how high to mount it?

The bad news is you have a VHF-low channel, so if you want CBS channel 5.1 on RF 5 you need the larger VHF low antenna type, plus the VHF high and UHF.

I'd probably go with a Channel Master CM3679 or the larger CM3671 and get it at least 30 ft above ground level.

I'd also install it without the pre-amp first (especially if you go with the larger antenna), the pre-amp might not be needed and can always be added later.

If you power more than one Tv, the pre-amp probably would be needed (recommend a CM7777).

Getting more from my antenna system?

adding high Band VHF antenna to existing setup
