Pleasure to meet you all. I have a second DirecTV HD receiver down in Mexico (with a Slimline-5 Dish). It used to work pretty good (low signal of course), but I've been having problems getting the receiver to download the guide data the last week or so.
Usually I would tune a SD channel before going to bed to force the unit into downloading the guide from the 101sat (I get absolutely no signal on the 119), but this workaround hasn't really worked over the last week, so I've been unable to watch anything at all since the guide is completely gone.
I tried changing my setup to Slimline-3, but I get a message that a satellite signal could not be detected and it just won't make the change.
Does any one know which specific transponder on the 101sat is used to download the guide?
Is there a way to bypass the guide and tune channels manually?
Could this be related to that whole satellite testing or fixing issue?
Any help will be greatly appreciated!
