I am in desperate need of a receiver now that my s9 has went ka-poop,i have in mind buying a dream box v2 dm100 because of the low price i can get it for.Could you tell me if this is a dependable box or junk and do it support AC3?

No blind scan. No support. Not open source. Terrible box. Way better ones out there. Microhd is a good choice. Not open source but has blind scan and excellent support

The X2 is not a bad one. Low cost and comes with lots of extras.
The Amiko Nano is a very small receiver and also works very well. it costs more than the X2 but also comes with a lot of cables.
All three so far listed would be good replacements for your dead S9.

The Dreambox and the Captive works you mentioned in another thread will not provide you with the satisfaction of your old s9. Although you can get them for a low price, the likelihood of a major firmware problem or hardware bug is pretty high. As RT said, any of the three listed here would be good choices
