I've been trying to get AMC4 using the 95W LNB that comes with the DirecTV World Direct International dish without much success for the past two hours.

Was able to get AMC4 easily with a 76-cm Winegard using a Zinwell LNB. Connections and receiver settings are all the same.

I though the 95W LNB was a Ku-linear?

Thanks!

95w on the International dish is a linear Ku LNB. It is the LNB that is bolted to a feedhorn, and the DBS LNBF should be off to the right side (looking at the dish from in front). Have you checked to see if skew has been set properly for that dish? Make sure your L.O. frequency is 10750, since this is almost surely a standard LNB (probably an Eagle Aspen).

did you skew the LNB?

I'm wondering if those DirecTV LNB's are one polarity only as DirecTV uses only one polarity on 95

After another two hours of hunting, I've given up. I'm going to use my other LNB, instead of the 95W included with the World Direct kit.

I've read in a few places that it's single polarity as well!
