I just purchased an Edison os nino + dvbs2 e2 Linux receiver. I have never owned a Linux based receiver. I am now being led to believe it doesn't even have software installed in it . Can anyone point me in right direction for getting north American satellite list into this unit.

Odd that a receiver was sold without an image loaded.

Pick an image (OpenATV, OpenVIX, OpenPLI, etc.), visit the image's website and download the latest image available for that model.

If you only are looking for a satellite list, there is an E2 satellite list plugin (satellites.xml), which allows you to select from available satellites and it downloads and installs a custom list.

dvbmarket..com I have never used a Linux receiver so I don't know what to expect. I haven't received it yet. I was being led to believe that it had nothing loaded. This was from Edison. It might need nothing.
