Even FOX is interpreting the same way E* is. The disagreement appears to be that FOX complains that by 01/07 from the E* data they saw the most widely distributed package had changed to something other than AT200, but E* failed to make the adjustment necessary according to the 1998 agreement.
The fact FOX News in their lawsuit did not mention any good faith discussions between E* and FOX after 01/07, before going to the court, further demonstrates that this is not about whether E* stuck to the 1998 agreement or not, but FOX wanting to force a new agreement. Otherwise you would expect that FOX had tried to bring the fact to E*'s attention, and only after several rounds of E* giving FOX the finger would FOX go to court, that is usually how you win a lawsuit.
FOX is not interested in winning this lawsuit, because as I stated earlier even if they win, it would be a mess how to determine when FNC would fall in what package. They need a new agreement. By diverting some legal resources away which Charlie appears in urgent need at this juncture of his company, FOX might just try to nudge the process a little more in their favor in the negotiation.

...I apologize. I jsudt founda link stating that the 1998 contract IS the current one and that Fox is interpreting it as you have. I have to admit that you were right and I was wrong. Good catch.
No need to apologize, I just read several news releases carefully, word by word. I wish I could dig up the actual 1998 agreement and find out when it would expire. It seems the timing is so close to the big 10 years I suspect E* and FOX are due for a renewal soon, and we all know how they would try to position themselves for that moment.
As far as that offensive post, I can see how some folks can feel that way, but it goes the other way too. I think you mods had done a good job trying to have a control over the riot yet not to remove everything someone finds offensive so the thread is not totally boring.
my guess is you probably watching it for the anchor bimbos that they put on that channel..and [Fox] News does the same.![]()
That they do!
!st off, let me say that I don't think any of the business channels are all that great, but FBCHD is NO better than the others, IMO, and probably worse. Same goes for the "news" channels, they all pretty much suck, IMO. CNN was good when they started, but that is long gone. Fox was fresh, but now that is gone. MSNBC & CNBC never were.
I was looking forward to Dave Ramsey's show and it is interesting (he has some valid points about consumer finance), but even Dave is no better in HD than he is on radio, so that wore off pretty quickly.
As for the contract dispute, you can bet this one is for something in the ways the 2 parties are "interpreting" the contract. The ONLY way it will be resolved is through negotiations or a a trial. Chuckie's track record on lawsuits sucks, so you can bet his legal team will resolve this issue in pretty short order, there is no way in hell that all of the Fox programming will leave E*, short of E* filing bankruptcy. NOT gonna happen, NEVER. This is not CourtTV or WE, those were channels with viewers, but not as many as the FOX networks have. Also, those who are ranting that old Rupie owns D* better check their facts, he has "an interest" in it which is a long way from "owning" it. Also. Rupie is trying to swap his interest to Liberty Media, which is still under federal review, so does he care long term about D* and is it a game? No, on both counts.
Much ado about NOTHING, it seems to me.
A long time ago I had the AT60 package and only watched CNN, since FoxNews was not in the package, would have been great. I upgraded to AT120 to see what all the hubhub was about due to many people talked about FoxNews and how biased CNN was. With internet news and other news channels, there is a better understanding of what is going on in the world and how bias comes through, for example leaving out certain details.
FoxNews morning show is a joke, guess they are copying CBS/NBC/ABC morning shows. Enjoy Brit Hume's nightly news and FoxNews Sunday. As far as shows like H&C, Lou Dobbs, etc, they scratch the surface of an issue within their 5-7min segment and then on to the next issue. They should take 20-30mins to discuss an issue.
I've heard that the Fox Business channel is more for people who have little/no understanding of the market, haven't seen the channel so can't comment on it.
As opposed to the leftest socialist tripe the so called mainstream news organizations spew.
(Hey if political crap isn't going to be limited to "The Pit" let's go for it)
NightRyder
Is this BECAUSE of FNC rather than because T200 is so greatQuote:

According to retailers I have talked to, the "America's Top 200 Package" is the top selling package. To me this would make it the "most widely distributed package."
btw..there is nothing wrong with the word SOCIALIST...actually if right -winger like you would learn a little bit what it means, you would conclude that current left wing is a lot more resembles social democrats. If you do not know the difference (which if you watch Faux, you probably do not know), then God Bless You right-winger Bush apologist.

u r not going to scare people off with your labels (e.g. socialists) anymore...grow up
Politics aside, a news channel these days is kinda hard to take seriously.Especially to the point that you'd cancel/switch providers.
