Fox orders X-Files mini series

I read that the ratings had dropped off for X files after the 3rd episode- Lizard man. I said before that the serious momentum that was started in episode 1 and 2 really went south in the 3rd episode. I will watch the 4 th one today at work.

Given that it is a limited run, it does not really matter what the ratings are, they have shot all the episodes and they will just air them.

The only reason I plan on watching next week's show:

Get Skully some anti depressants for God's sake. It has been 14 years and she still is distraught? I am betting that some how William will work his way into the last episode some how.

i have been a fan of x-files since forever i think.
i grew up viewing x-files on friday nights and it marveled me.
i didn't get the chance of watching this new series, i loved david in x-files and in californication after.
I read that the ratins are downing a bit since 1st episode.

I think so, each episode has been so different each time I'm sure anyone, fan or not, can find one to like.

Looks like we got two serious episodes and then three monster of the week episodes, that leaves us with one to wrap it all up. Unless they intentionally leave it hanging so they can restart the series, if there is enough interest. I was really hoping that they would answer all the questions and let the show end while the two leads still resemble their younger selves.

Does anyone know if Fox plans on picking this back up as a regular series or if this is it. It would be such a shame if this was it.
