Last March I had Dish network install a new dish for 110 118 and 119. I realize that the 119 and 110 LNB's are for the most part worthless because they are circular. Is the 118 LNB linear, and if so what is the freq range. Can I reaim the Dish and use it for something in the FTA Ku band?

OR

Does someone make a regular KU LNBF that will fit on the end of the Dish Pro dish? (I think it’s a Dish Pro.)

Thanks

The dish is undersized for FTA.

You might find an old Starband or DirectWay dish that is no longer being used, or as lots of members here have used, a Primestar dish.

other suggestions:

I believe the 118° is transmitted in the FSS band (using 10750 LO), but is circular. :(
So, unless you can un-circular that LNB, I'm not coming up with a good use.
Have you got some pictures of front and back side, along with how it comes apart?

As for discontinued Dish Network dishes being used for FTA (within limits), here are a couple of discussions.
See if they inspire you.

The fact that it is circular puts an end to that idea.

Thanks for the replys

That was my first thought.

But some of the guys may have taken a look at it already.
One fellow I'd think might offer a good idea, is member: Smith, P.
( I just PM'd him.)

If anyone else has given it the once-over, please step up! - :up
The guys here are very creative and resourceful!

And before you throw it away, let's see if there is any parts of use...
... I might have overlooked something.

Let me check if that insert could be removed, then the LNBF become linear type.
But before that I'd like to see pictures of what OP got.

Is this what you have? Another close-up view.
(Dish 500 Plus assembly, from Sadoun site.)
If so, can you open it up and take more pictures?

23.8”h x 30.9"w dish might prove passable for some stronger FTA
