yeah its a day early but oh well :)

OK...FFP time...now this one is a thinker

You decide to put up a new fixed dish but the wife/girlfriend/spouse/etc says "no way are you putting up another dish. I dont care how many channels you get with that extra dish. Its not going up". Now you have a dilemma

what do you do?
-listen to the wife and dont put the dish up
-put the dish up. end up sleeping on the couch for a while
-put the dish up. wife sees the cool stuff on new dish and apologizes
-put the dish up. Divorce the wife
-tear down existing fixed dish and put up a T90
-my wife doesnt mind the dish farm
-no spouse. I can do what I want :)

Oddly, enough, my wife doesn't seem to even know how many dishes I have up. So , If I put up another, I just tell her it's been there for awhile. Couldn't get away with a BUD, though, she'd notice that, BIG time.

I voted "my wife doesnt mind the dish farm" -she even helps me hunt for them when we're out in the car going somewhere! (Found 3 more 1.0m Primestars this way!:up )

My wife says," When are you going to put up more dishes so we can find out what else we can get?" And, "There's an odd BUD that doesn't look like it's in use, why don't we stop and see?" She was driving and stopped, but that was at 2 AM and 1200 miles from home, with no room for it. - a paracllipise!

And the third comment, "when are you going to invite __ a neighbor __ over to show them what they could get on TV with a big dish (KU - rather than pizza size)?

Nobody to put up with, here.

I've seen comments about really nice wives,
but I think rv1pop's must take the prize!

This wasn't a thinker for me, as I voted:
no spouse. I can do what I want

So, if I did have a spouse I would like to think it would be:
my wife doesnt mind the dish farm

But, it would probably be:
listen to the wife and dont put the dish up

My wife has also helped me align dishes...because they are all over 200 feet away from the house so she won't see them! When I called her at work today she asked me if I had found the HD feed for the PGA Championship....:D

I'll put it up, she'll see what's on it and it can stay.

Just like when I eased in the internet.

And when I got my first cell phone.:D

She has her own computer now and finally got herself a cell phone too.

This situation is exactly why I have a motorized Ku dish, and have been attempting to get something out of a 1-meter miniBUD. :)

She drew the line when I mentioned getting a 6-footer.

My wife, and kids, will help too:
"nothing, nothing, 20, 20, 38, 67, 72, go back, go back, nothing....."

And my daughter, she's 5, "daddy, can you find Qubo for me again?"

Or my son, he's 2, "whack, whack, whack, giggle, giggle, whack, whack, giggle"
Of a plastic baseball bat the the rim of the mesh BUD, sound cool I guess.
I wonder where he gets the idea of hitting the dish?

When I started she was concerned, but now, she said as long as I keep it in the backyard and off the house, do what I want.

I just tested that with a new 12' Paraclipse C-band dish. :)

So far so good. But sometimes she has to remind me that I get a little TOO hard-core.

Ever adjust a c-band dish in your night clothes? I did, last night...LOL:D

Since I don't have a wife and own the farm I can do what I want. :eureka I think the trick is with wife's is allow them to buy some new shoes or such just to shut them up. Let them play in there world and we can play in ours. :D
