I have a nüvi 1355T that I bought back in 2010. I recently upgraded to the Lifetime Maps package so I can keep the maps up to date. I'm also pretty good about keeping the nüvi's firmware up to date as well. Here's the deal, though:
  • When it starts up, it reports that my 2010 maps are old, even though I have update/replaced the maps with the current versions
  • If I try to add maps for much more than our immediate geographical area, the Maps Installer app reports the device is full, even though it had no problem reporting 300 MB free when I was selecting the maps to download
  • I installed a 4GB microSD card in the expansion slot to give me more space, but apparently that was a waste of money since there doesn't appear to be a way to install maps to the microSD card.
I know there are some Garmin experts here, so might someone be able to help out? Thanks! :)
