I should have bought gas on Friday. Costco went up to $4.299.

Now $5.54 at Costco. Reason, as noted in newspaper, is that 3 local refineries are shut down for scheduled maintenance. My question is: why are they allowed to have a schedule that shuts them all down at the same time. Seems like a money grab to me....

Part of this may be Costco. My local store went up another 20 cents to $4.499 while the bottom feeders are down to $4.199 and $4.299.

I noticed nationwide the news is reporting a majority of the reason for the increase in cost is refinery problems locally. So how can all the refineries nationwide ALL be having "problems" Yea right sure!
