Getting a Hopper Upgrade, Two Questions?

After not having Dish for 8 years (no line of sight), I moved for a new job and I am back with dish.

I ordered
1 Hopper (Main Room)
2 Joeys (Kids Rooms)
1 Super Joey (My Room)


I will turn off primetime viewing so I can have all available tuners. Will that be 8 tuners total to record?


With that setup. will I be able to add another Joey to the kitchen later on?

I think you would be better off with two Hoppers and three Joeys. You would have a Hopper backup if one of them konks out on you.

It is a total of 5 tuners. If you decide to use PTAT, however you can record up to 8 shows
