Has anyone tried using the 4 degree bracket for 97W and 101W on a Primestar dish? Does it have good quality compared to using a 90cm dish like the GeosatPro? And how did you do it, as far as fastening the bracket the Primestar?

Thanks for the help. I have gotten a friend into FTA, and his wife happen to ask him about getting SkyAngel IPTV. I told him NO! Glorystar FTA is better. <grin>

I think that bracket would put the LNBs too close together.
But I don't see that the problem should be difficult.
Which model and size Primestar do you have?

wont work. tried the Sadoun monoblock on one...see here

The first dish I tried was the Primestar dish since it was nearby. The dish was on 91 already so I figured 91/95 or 91/87. One LNB is aimed right down the arm and the 2nd LNB is offset so the thing to remember is the offset may not give as good results as the one that is straight down the arm. Got 91 locked in but 95 wouldn't come in very well. I have a feeling it has to do with the Primestar focal points. (they seem to be closer together than normal)

I'm using a Primestar dish with 2 non-Primestar LNB's strapped together with Glorystar works great.

Well, now, I don't know whether to try it or not. Which LNBs did you use, and is there a space between them? Is 97w in the center?

Thanks....

I'm using 2 of the Spitfire LNB's one of the LNB's has the plastic removed around the neck so it would fit into the slot on the Primestar arm. I have the dish peaked on 97w. I then connected the other LNB to my receiver tuned it to 3ABN and held it along side of the 97w LNB moving slowly until I got 3ABN lock in and then strapped it to the other LNB with no space in between and added a switch and I had all the Glorystar Channels.

I will take some pictures tomorrow and post them...

Thanks for the post, Gary. I think I or my friend will have to try it. I just want to get one working. Then I will try to get other people involved, but will be buying equipment from SatelliteAV. Those guys definitely deserve the business!
