With H398 on the Hopper H3 and P13712 on the Hopper Plus, three issues still remain:
Issue #1
With a Hopper 3 and Hopper Plus setup, I can see somewhere after P13402 and P13712, the settings cogwheel when one hits the Home button is no longer on the right hand side but now closer to the left center of the screen and the text for things are small. One thing I noticed in H398 which existed in H397 from H392 and P13712 from P13402 is that I keep my Hopper 3 on never inactive so it's always on but if I turn off my TV using the TV power button on the 50.0 and 52.0 remotes and then turn the tv back on, the Hopper does not seem to stay on the last watched channel before the tv was turned off but instead, it is on channel 101 which is DISH Scapes. I tested this by turning the TV off and then back on 20 seconds later with the same exact same results of it going to channel 101 when the tv is turned on again.
As I mentioned in the H396 thread about H397:
"I decided to unplug the Hopper Plus, unplugged the Hopper H3 power cord for 1 minutes before plugging it back in, everything works correctly so when I power off and on the tv with the DISH 50.0 and 52.0 remotes, it remains on channel 626-05 which is a streaming channel. However, the HDMI-CEC set to on when I have the tv on another input that is not the Hopper H3 and hit SAT on the DISH 50.0 and 52.0 remotes while the TV is on, it does not do anything. When HDMI-CEC is set to on with the Hopper Plus connected and when I have the tv on another input that is not the Hopper H3 and hit SAT on the DISH 50.0 and 52.0 remotes while the TV is on, it would switch to the input the Hopper H3 is connected to.
After I plug the Hopper Plus back into the Hopper H3, the results are different depending on what channel I am on when I power off and on the TV with the TV power button on the DISH 50.0 and 52.0 remotes:
1) If I was on Channel 626-05 which is streaming before the tv was turned off, with HDMI-CEC turned on and then hit TV Power on the DISH 50.0 and 52.0 remotes, it would be in standby mode and ask to hit the SAT button which I hit and it's on Channel 101 DISH Scapes
2) If I was on Channel 626-05 which is streaming before the tv was turned off, with HDMI-CEC turned off and then hit TV Power on the DISH 50.0 and 52.0 remotes, it would be on Channel 101 DISH Scapes.
3) If I was on Channel 252 which is streaming before the tv was turned off, whether HDMI-CEC is on or off and then hit TV Power on the DISH 50.0 and 52.0 remotes, it would be on Channel 251 which is non-streaming.
4) If I was on Channel 251 which is non-streaming before the tv was turned off, whether HDMI-CEC is on or off and then hit TV Power on the DISH 50.0 and 52.0 remotes, it would be on Channel 251 which is non-streaming.
So the problem is definitely with the Hopper Plus connected to the Hopper H3 while the Hopper H3 without the Hopper Plus connected works fine other than the HDMI CEC set to on issue mentioned.
Also want to mention that with the Hopper Plus (Software vP13712) connected to the Hopper H3 (Software vH397) with HDMI-CEC set to off and the TV already on and watching 626-05, all I had to do was using the DISH Remote (50.0 and 52.0):
Hit Home, selected the Gear on the screen which goes to the Settings menu, then "Device Preferences", About, Software Update and then return from there and it would also have gone back to Channel 101 DISH Scapes." These issues still occurs in H398 and is probably a issue with the Hopper Plus software as that still did not have a new version after P13712 yet.
Issue #2
As mentioned in the H396 thread about the Hopper H3 with H397 software and Hopper Plus with P13712 software:
"Experienced an issue with Channel 626-05 yesterday which is a streaming channel so basically, this is what happened. The current time was 8:10PM San Francisco time and the program schedule is as follows:
1:00PM-3:00PM, 4:00PM-6:00PM, 6:00PM-7:00PM, 7:00PM-8:00PM and 8:00PM-10:00PM
so basically I had paused earlier during the day so 8:10PM was basically showing what was at 7:50PM. I hit replay/rewind, it goes to 8:00PM and then jumps to 6:00PM, it appears the buffer goes back to 1:00PM as I can play everything up to 6:00PM from 1:00PM but from 6:00PM, it is missing everything from 6:00PM-8:00PM as it will go from 6:00PM to 8:00PM as 8:00PM is the start time of the current show. Assuming the time was still 7:59PM, I can go all the way back to 7:00PM without issues but the 6:00PM-7:00PM would be missing.
This is with Hopper software H397 and Hopper Plus Software P13712" - Not sure if this is a issue is with the Hopper H3 software, the Hopper Plus software or both Hopper H3 and Hopper Plus software.
Issue #3
The screen that shows up here, which is after hitting Home on the DISH Remote (50.0 and 52.0), where I have the arrow pointing in the photo below, isn't that supposed to show something like the Weather instead of what it is showing as when I click on it, it does show the weather in a bigger full screen for San Francisco on The Weather Channel:
This still occurs in H398 and is probably a issue with the Hopper Plus software as that still did not have a new version after P13712 yet. Not sure if the Hopper H3 without the Hopper Plus connected even has the weather icon at all.
Many thanks for your help!
