I guess the big question is where to find such panels though... I had looked up a few places online and it was really expensive, without being certain that it would be a good fit

Does anyone know if Tek2000 sells mesh as a spare part?

Probably just for the TEK brand. Each dish brand has different panels. But you're right, you can get mesh but then it has to be cut to the right size. I have found that the total cost of material and fabrication exceeds the cost of an entire new dish.
