the cap on my new Titanium C2-PLL is a bit loose and fell off. I found it but didn't get a chance to put it back on for a while, and of course some evil wasps took advantage of my laziness and started building a small nest deep in the LNBF.

Is it safe to use wasp/hornet spray? Or is that a risk for the probes of the LNBF or the dielectric at their base?

Would it be better to spray with water (other than the risk of facing some rather angry wasps as a result)?

I would use a small amount of wasp spray and close the opening with a plastic bag and rubber band for a few hours. Much safer than spraying water into the feedhorn.

To secure the feedhorn cap, use a small piece of the amalgamated rubber strip that was shipped on he dielectric slab. Place two small tabs of the rubberstrip on opposing sides of the cap insert before slipping inside the feedhorn opening.
