Yes, I have several WD's check to make sure it is not multi lun first, should be some of my posts in this thread or I will look in morning & see what drives I have that work...
What is multi lun? More than one drive in an enclosure? I heard that doesn't work.

You are Right... In Looking I have a couple of WD 2 TB My Books and a Seagate 2TB Go Flex that work fine...
I noticed some Seagate Go-flex 2 TB drives at Wally World today for $89, I am using one of these, just be sure & wipe out any Seagate software & extra partitions before using with your Dish dvr's... they still have the 1.5 Seagates for $70...
Picked up one for the 2/1 EHD free activation festivus. Might go back for another.

USB 2.0 seems more than fast enough to outrun the ViP series DVRs ability to prepare and send out the content.
The drive I bought doesn't appear to have any special partitions on it.
