Has my Hopper 3 Bit the dust? Will my Timers carry over?

Storm come through and caused a Loud Pop from the Hopper. Sounded like a Fuse or Capacitor blowing. Tech is coming in a few days
to replace the Receiver I guess,not sure why they don't just send me a new one.

Not too concerned about the recordings,but I have alot of Timers. Since I did use the Hopper 3 remote a few days ago,will the timers carry over to the New Receiver?

I thought about seeing if I could just hook up the Hopper drive to my PC and try to move the contents over to an External,but wasn't sure if I should or if it would even work.

When you get your new Hopper 3 have the tech do a Restore Settings from the original remote. I believe the 54 remotes do auto saves from time to time.

Also, keep in mind that the new Hopper will take a few days to settle in, so you may not see those timers for a little while.

That would be great. I usually use My Harmony remote,but it finally went bad and I had to wait on another one. During that Time I had to use the Hopper remote for a few days. Hope it did an auto save.

Do you keep your 54 remote battery fully charged? By that I mean do you replace batteries from time to time. I also use a Harmony remote but keep the 54 remote charged and close by for those few times that I may want to use the voice function.

I did replace the batteries the other day when I had to use it,but I did that just because I hadn't replaced them in a while. Not sure if they were actually bad or not.

When you get your new Hopper 3 you can see how your remote batteries are doing at any time, charge wise, by pressing Home 3 times on the 54 remote or Menu 3 times on your Harmony.
