I want to upgrade my parent's DirecTV to include HD channels. Is it possible to hookup a HD receiver to an older single LNB 18" dish aimed at satellite 101? Does this satellite contain any HD channels?

While you can aim a dish at 101 and use the HD receiver 101 does not have any HD on it
99 & 103 KA Band are the sats that have the HD...you need to upgrade the dish

Thats why on the 14th I have a appointment for D* to upgrade me to the slimline dish (upgrading to HD)
