I have a 36 in dish with SG2100 motor and Invacom Quad Polar LNB.

I have a sat finder connected to the circular and I am trying to find 61.5 which is true south.

I am finding no sats.

Any suggestions?

There is a really good doc in the FAQ on how to setup your motor and positioner. I struggled for a few days trying to figure things out before I actually read the doc and.. well... the doc had me going in about an hour flat.

where is the faq page

flyznest, thanks but can you tell me where to find that doc? I am new to this forum and don't know my way around yet.

Thanks!

still cant's detect sats

i read it but i still can't find sats.

it was working fine up until a few weeks ago but now i did a factory reset for some obvious reasons and now i can't detect sats.

When you did the factory reset, did you re-enter the TP info for that bird? My box defaults to some ancient TP list on a restore and I have to reprogram everything with Channel Master.

61.5 only has that one TP... try switching to 58. I am at 111 and I can get channels on 58 so it might be worth a try.

I once blew out a handheld sat finder by not powering off the receiver before installing it. It appeared to be working just fine and it showed a little background noise but it never whistled or peaked on any birds ever again... and it never allowed the receiver to see a bird when it was hooked up... after I uninstalled the meter, things worked just fine.

Hi, if it was working before but not after a reset you need to double check the LNB frequency and the switch settings.

Also be aware that almost everything on 61.5 is DVB-S2 and you will not see anything with a SD DVB-S receiver.

Hope this helps, DC
