That article is almost 2 months old and came on the heals of the Tivo CEO basically saying "hey, the new guys might talk to us". Nothing to see here.

Either way, old news.

That's some good news. Don't want to go to Comcrap for my Tivo needs if I buy a HD TV.

That's also an older article and a very misinformed one at that. Not sure how having Tivo update the DirecTivo's, which their contract thru 2010 is for, suddenly leads to a new working relationship and new hardware coming. DirecTV and Tivo are simply following thru on the contract they signed a few years ago.

TiVo? Meh. I started with that DVR platform, but I've moved on. I now find it a bit overrated.
