Seeing these performance problems on the HWS as well, although to a lesser extent. I hope a fix comes for that too.

I'll give a qualified fix to the recordings transfer problem from the EHD to the Hopper. Seems to be working but you never really know this early.
I heard a rumor that this update gives you the ability to change the nightly updates. Anyone able to confirm or deny this?
I don't think so. There was no info about this on the update screen. The updates section in settings -> diagnostics is still only for inactivity shutoff.
I have 2 Hopper, sofw version 424 and it is rebooting each 10 min,

Rebooting every ten minutes - you've got bigger problems that a s/w update won't fix (in my experience).
Try turning off hdmi CEC and even possibly bridging and see if that makes a difference.
For CC users it looks like they fixed the problem watching recordings. I've also been able to move a lot of recordings from the EHD to the Hopper with no errors.
Too many power cord and red button resets lately. During my entire time with DISH this is the worst it has been. I can't believe how incompetent they have been with the software updates. Slow response on the H2K, dropped internet connectivity on the HWS (no it is not my router/internet). DISH Anywhere app has been buggy as well.
My Hopper got S425 this morning...it didn't fix the issue with my EHD being recognized....
I didn't have a recognition problem but it took about 10 hours before the Hopper-EHD transfer started to work after the update.
I got S425 also. Hopper does seem snappier. I've not had any EHD issues at all. I now have no sat signal because of snow build up from yesterday and today.
Just got 425 last night and i am still having the same problems. My OTA channels are still going black sporadically and the Hopper is still agonizingly slow to respond to remote and front panel commands. It has actually taken 15 seconds to change channels a few times.
Still no S425. Between the slow Hopper and the deep freeze, I feel like I am approaching absolute zero, and all of the atoms in the universe are slooowing dooown...
I just noticed that even though CC is working better on recordings it sometimes doesn't start until all of the opening credits have finished, unless that is normal.
Also not fixed: the issue with getting an empty PTAT folder when accessing it after watching a recorded event in My Recordings. You have to exit out and do it again for anything to show up.
