Since it was brought up in a thread that the "average" FTA user probably only has one receiver that they use, I'll throw this out. Now I know the numbers might be "skewed" but its pretty simple question :)

How many FTA receivers do you have setup and active? Lets exclude analog & 4DTV. Just DVB :)

-one
-two to three
-four to five
-six to nine
-ten or more

Only count active (hooked up)...because some of us have probably 1/2 dozen or more in a closet somewhere :)

lets see

Coolsat 5000 x2
azbox
Viacast 2000
Pansat 1500 (used mainly to aim dishes but blind scans G16 C-band)

3rd CS5000 (wouldnt consider active as I use that to blind scan C_Band and its too cold to be outside right now)
Coolsat 8000 (now that I fixed that azbox recording "quirk" its not used as much)
Quali-TV (analog ports are shot in it...only works on HDMI & dolby digital)
3 other simple receivers (BEC, Pansat 2100, Pansat 2500 clone)

so its 5 active...11 total...plus 3 analog recievers :)

1 Coolsat 6000 -- main receiver for blind scan
1 Viewsat extreme -- something to watch while the other scans

1 Pansat clone --inactive-- to take out to the dishes

more to come as im missing out on hd stuffs

Two here, One at my other location and another One for aligning realigning the dishes.

4 out of 6

Not counted is a analog General Instrument used as C-Band dish mover at my other location.

1 azbox
1 coolsat 4000 pro for blind scan and to feed the tivo (don't have the azbox set up for pvr yet)
1 traxis 1500 for occasional use when I'm at the farm

1-Fortec Star Dynamic-Though I might be looking for something that would be a slight upgrade in either a Coolsat or Pansat, since some of them can be had pretty cheaply now..

Azbox on Living room TV
Diamond HD in bedroom slaved from the Azbox
Vantage 1100 HD In my Man Cave
Coolsat 5000 on 1m Ku Dish that I never use in the Man Cave also.

I have a maximum of four receivers active at one time.

CoolSat 6000 or Pansat 3500 for DVB-S blindscanning.
Twinhan 102G for DVB-S
DVBWorld 2104D for DVB-S2
BroadLogic 2030 for BLSA and DVB-S

Coolsat 6000 for C Band

Pansat 3500SD for Ku band

Technically both are "limited" service due to high winds messing up my BUD and 39" dish! :o

I just said one although I can have two active, but rarely do.

Viewsat Max HD (Living room, active)
Fortec Mercury II (Bedroom, rarely used)

Pansat 3500 on bud c/ku ( at my desk )
Fortecstar Dynamic for ku ( at my desk )
2nd Pansat 3500 in other living room , Icon S550 in bedroom
switched with fortec for ku

4 active ( AZBOX coming soon :} )

Only use the Fortec Dynamic now. I have an old Sonset junker in the garage...my first FTA box.....Thinking about the Sathawk from Sadoun though. Blind

I selected 4.
2 computer cards. (Twinhan 1020a, Nexus-S)
Digiwave 7000
GEOSATPro DVR1100c

The 2 computer cards are used for timer recording everyday. The Digiwave is for upstairs viewing and the GEOSATPro for viewing and recording downstairs.

Not connected currently, a DVBWorld DVB-S2 PCI2004C, Visionsat IV200, Coolsat 6000, Lifeview LR300 PCI card.

1 - Fortec Dynamic (motor control & blind scan) on 90cm
1 - AzBox Elite on dual feeds from 90cm
1 - Coolsat 5000 on motorized Winegard DS2077 76cm
w/(SL2-Dual Standard from Satellite AV) fits well in D-channel
1 - Sonicview SV-360 Premier (shelved - not in use)
