how to change file group association

How do I change the group association for /media/hdd? None of the usual linux commands can change it. I was hoping for a /media/usb but got
/media/hdd.

I don't think you can.

I record to that directory but I can't delete the files via my ftp client. I can delete files on the other receiver (another osmio4k) but it has
/media/usb - its group association is disk. I can log in to the problematic receiver and delete the files that way.
