If you cancel VOOM please post here

The equipment will not be picked up. That would be a service call, and there are no more service calls.

So I take a hit in HD choices...that really sucks. But I will be getting Video on Demand and every "channel package" they offer".

Yea I have a HD DVR but nothing that is HD to copy off of it. At least some true HD. Listen to yourself. I sorry but i cant help it... it bothers me.

1) I just got off the phone with Voom CSR after trying to get the service back up to VA-Va-Voom for the next few weeks. Told she could not upgrade or downgrade any package for anyone anymore.

2) When asked about equitment she said that we would be advised by email as to if they are sending boxes to return equipment or have the install rep come back out to pick up the parts that are leased. Looks like they are taking the OTA control box back......ugg!

3)She said that she hopes they offer the Voom 21 somehow, someway. She likes them too. But heard no news yet.

I then said "thank you for your help, sorry about your job and I wish you luck". She sounded like she was going to cry.
Man this sucks

I am going to cancel Voom on Wednesday (when (gasp) E will be installed without HD L But I will be getting 2 dvr’s J )
So I can have the Voom dish taken off the roof and make room for the new one.

I will miss the HD content that Voom provided. But I hope that I can keep the OTA antenna and use it with the HD receiver that I own from when we had D* so maybe I can at least get the locals in HD.

Peace
Bruce

I setup with cable for an install on the 28th. At least they are month to month. I also told them I was quoted a lowball price.... of 55 in stead of 76/month. Get this - they gave it to me for a year with NO contract. Heck TW Cable will try to rape you if they can so I just tried to turn the table a bit.

D* CSR said they have not heard of a company called Voom. E* CSR has did not hear of the shutdown. No deals yet

I cancelled on the 7th and was told I would no longer be billed and my service would run until the 16th which was my renewal date. My service was killed later that day and today I wake up to see Rainbow just auto-drafted another month's payment out of my account. Make sure you stop payments if you have the auto-pay going, calling in to them does not help.

I called last Wednesday and told Voom CSR that I will be switching over to cable on April 20, 2005 and not to deactivate me before then. However, the CSR pushed my deactivation through and turned off everything on April 18, 2005. OTA and satellite channels didn't work once Voom done this. So now I am back with Cox Cable.

I asked them to come and get the equipment, but they said that they don't know what they are going to do with their leased stb and to hold on to them until they contact me.

I uninstalled Voom recievers and Dish last night and reinstalled D*. Called and activated D* last night. No costs. Called and deactivated V* this afternoon. OTA tuners still work.

I got my E* 942 installed yesterday and cancelled VOOM today. CSR told me that my bill will be pro-rated and a letter will be send after the 30th with "more instructions"

Refund in about three weeks

Just an FYI I canceled Effective 4-23 I was Shut down on 4-18 after CSR said I would be good untill the 30th. Then Voom had the *&^% to bill me for the month of Apr, I called about this 4-21 and they said I would be credit the next day. Guess what still no credit. So I called again today they said they will be refunding in around 3 weeks. At that time they will send a letter detailing how they are closing the account with details on the equipment and refund info.

So today I filled a Reg E claim with my bank to get the charge reversed since after 4-30 their will be no one to call and I no longer trust them to do anything.
