When i get a unit straight from the warehouse and i flash it with a new channel list will it completely erase the old flash or does it just add the new one?

What "unit" are you referring to? And what channels?

Can I also take this opportunity to remind you we do not talk hacking methods here.

I agree no HACK talk, but generally anytime you flash the memory of a device you are overwriting all the current info with new info. Just like flashing a motherboard.
