KCWY-NBC C-Band Galaxy 16

Today I adjusted my 6' c-band dish to Galaxy 16 and to my surprise KCWY NBC scanned in and the picture quality is great. I received C-band channels on Galaxy 16 before, but never this channel.

I believe Iceberg once said he too was never able to get this channel using his 6' dish. Has something changed?

Forgot to mention that "SOAP E&W" and "Disney XD E&W" also scanned in on Galaxy 16 C-band today for the first time. Stations are scrambled.

I checked about a week ago and couldn't get it with my new 12 footer.

You must've gotten the screws turned properly for 99w, Popcorn! It is handy to have that channel, if nbc ever has anything I want to see.

Too bad that the NBC mux on 105W has that screwy audio. Nice video though. No NBC affiliate where I live.

I thought it was a fluke too....actually I blamed it o the heat and humidity

As you can see the Casper NBC channel is being received on my 6' C-Band dish very well, but the networks at (3845 H) are breaking up. I will be performing additional adjustments today on Galaxy 16.

SOAP and Disney XD are new on Galaxy 16 C-Band.

I've sometimes had to bump my bud a bit further west to get KCWY and then have 3845 break up. Took me a while but I finally got everything on G16 without grabbing the gbox remote. Had to compromise on the SQ on most transponders to do it but it works.

I believe this is exactly why the Casper NBC channel is coming in so good. Earlier today I did some adjustments and received 3845 better, but then lost "SOAP" and "Disney XD" which I believe are being received from a nearby satellite. Can anyone confirm which satellite these two channels are from?

After adjusting my 6' dish again tonight I now receive the networks at 3845 H as well as some additional channels such as "HD Clear" which I thought I read went away. Plus "Disney XD" and "SOAP" are now on Galaxy 16. I am now a happy camper. I might hookup an anlog receiver this weekend to receive the analog channels on this satellite as well.

I also want to point out that "The Family network" airs "Lou Grant", "Trapper John MD", The New Flipper", "Merv Griffin Crosswords" and a few other shows.

the ABC SD channel was dropped months ago because it looked like hell

Ok, this explains why I receive only 4 of the channels. I don't have a HD receiver yet and the other channel is blank.
