Andrew / Vertex-RSI / ASC Signal dual-reflector (toroidal) antenna

Thanks Gary! Looks like it is a Vertex 3.8m DPK model to be exact. Found more info HERE

If someone wants to go get it, I'll volunteer to help. I see a few other smaller dishes there I could use.

Andrew / Vertex-RSI / ASC Signal dual-reflector (toroidal) antenna

Toroidal? That would be for multifeed reception (with a mirror that is usually wider than high).

This would be a gregorian dual reflector, I guess

Not too far from me. If it was for free, and I happened to be going near, I possibly would pick it up along with its accessories. But...it mainly belongs in a museum somewhere. I assume it's an analogue sat receiver therefore couldn't be used.

I have a 12 ft solid aluminum dish , not polar mount, and it's disassembled in petals, asking the price of scrap aluminum. I used it for 20 years to international tv reception. It was used in the past by a hotel chain.

I'd bet the battery that keeps the id has died by now, so the receiver would be worthless. It's like 26 years old...

My two have been trashed but I guess someone could use it as a dish mover.
