According to the other site there is a new icon for OTA. Also noticed the next favorites to show up if you hit guide is showing under "list" when in the guide.

Has anyone noticed that Dish is apparently taking advantage of some "advertising space"?
The inactivity "screen saver" now shows information on PPV, hints and tips, and other Dish related news! Great marketing on their part, but I'll miss the pretty floating Dish logo.

Signal Meter?
just curious what all updates it does besides the ext. storage?? Is the stupid update for the signal meter on there?? LOL Being an installer it was a pain at first to get adjusted to this change, wish they would make all receivers on a 100 scale instead of 125 on the signal page and then scale down from that ie: dual tuners range from 88-94% then singles would almost max out...
maybe we can expect a change???? yeah right!

Seems that the OTA fixes that were in 4.09 are here too. Been watching my "problem channel" and its working great!! Also got an IP from my router!
Yes the new signal meter is there.

I'm assuming the groups option is to organize your recorded programs? Are you able to move a group out to the external HD? Oh wait; we can't activate that yet, so I guess you can't answer this officially

I got it too. My Dlink Wireless gaming adapter is working great. I haven't had a chance to play with it much though, hopefully my new Hard Drive will come today!
I've also noticed a "USB Storage" option under the first DVR menu. No doubt for direct access to the external storage.
I can confirm the issue with my local OTA CBS (WISC - Madison, WI) reception is no longer an issue. YAY! No more freezes or lost programming information!

...although (as Gen. George Patton would say), "It's best to win the first time". Broader testing of earlier firmware may have revealed that tuner issue and reduced the level of viewer frustration.

Got it here too. Time to connect the receiver to the router. I like the Group option or Folders option for the recordings, very nice.
What it does is group all the shows with the same name in a folder. You can not create your own folder.
Except for a very small number of individual Serial numbers they then match broad numbers of machines and serial number ranges. P Smith often posts what machines are targeted.
The groups are nice and are a good start, I would like to see them allow us to make User Folders, so I can make a Scott folder and have all my shows go into my folder and my wife can have a folder where all her CSI shows can go.

I agree on the folders. It is a long awaited feature and once they make it more specialized it will be great. I want to be able to make my own folders and even subfolders. I really like the new OTA icon for recordings.
