Logitech Remote Not Working After Software Update?

He"ll probably need to make a tiny change somewhere (like order of device turn on) to trigger the sync button.
Not actually change anything but you will have to go through the process of an edit of anything like Device, whatever TV you might have, Power and then just go through the steps that are already there. When you get to the end of that process back out and your sync button is enabled.

This morning the 665 worked as it should. But after a run into town it would not turn on the H3. I had to turn it off and on several times to get everything turned on. Some buttons did other things also.

Has anyone used a Sofabaton U3 remote? This may be my next remote.

I noticed the same issue on all 4 of my Harmony One remotes. Never reprogrammed. I went back to reload them and found that Logitech has finally killed the software reload site the Harmony app uses. If you use the Harmony app, it just pops up a website saying it's undergoing scheduled maintenance, not that it's discontinued. I've been doing this for over a month now.

How are people planning to address this? My H1 is my best remote overall.

MyHarmony still works for a One. I was able to add a LG G5 tv in February.

I'm having remote control issues since the 8/13 Hopper 3 software update too. I have three different remotes around my living room for a H3, one is the remote that came with the H3, one is the remote that came with a 722 and one is a Radio Shack universal that I've had since my first Dish receiver. When my H3 was installed 2-1/2 years ago all three remotes worked flawlessly until the recent software update. Now the H3 doesn't want to respond to the 722 and Radio Shack remotes. I have learned that if I change the function on these remotes to one of the other options then change it back to "SAT" the H3 generally responds, in fact it often will immediately respond with the command I had sent that it didn't respond to prior to changing the function on the remote. I've tried simply pushing the "SAT" button on the remote and that doesn't help, I have to change the function. The remotes then generally work until I use the H3 remote or until the receiver has been off then turned on again. These remote issues aren't 100% consistent however. All remotes are using LOS infrared, no WIFI.

Hopper3 software H711. Since this upgrade there is a bug in the Hopper's IR receiver. The issue with the IR receiver going to sleep and being slow to wake up and start responding to IR signals. Problem happens with remotes from OFA and Logitech as well as the Dish 21.1.in IR mode. Is this still an open issue?
Called support today. Half hour later I was told that IR is no longer supported. Tech refused to log a ticket to report this request. Even after I showed him the remote setup option in the Menu/remote under advanced saying how use IR.
Thanks, Alan

Hopefully that tech does not know what he is talking about.

Ok I heard back from my contact at DISH who tells me IR should be working fine on the Hopper 3.

He also asked another employee if DISH is tracking any IR issues with the H3 currently.

So it should be working.

If its not I would try disabling it... rebooting the Hopper 3 and enabling it again.

Thanks for reaching out to Dish.
They have no record of this H3 problem because they REFUSE to log a trouble ticket. Said he would make a note in my file and agreed that meant it would go nowhere. So the recommendation was to contact OFA, even gave me their number - like they will redesign all the OFA remotes to include RF when IR should work.
Several reboots.

Do not buy a Sofabaton U3. I went down that path for a couple of months before returning it. They don't have a way of programming for a Dish Hopper Plus due to the need to program both RF/IR signals. Their support team tried for a bit and then gave up. Perhaps it will work with just the Hopper 3. I also found the interface a real step down from what I had with Harmony, which was amazing. Would love to have a universal remote again, but the Dish remote is pretty close and I just keep a remote holder to hold my other remotes, so I am the universal remote. :)

I must have gotten newest version late last week because my Harmony 650 would not do anything but turn on the TV and audio. Discovered a reboot anytime during the day will make it all happy again.
