I was a long-time Dish subscriber before switching to DIRECTV last summer. One of the things I always enjoyed with the Dish Sports Pak was the ability to see the endings of Major League Baseball games whenever the games went past the 3 hour time allotted to them on the programming schedule. Now, with DIRECTV, that doesn't seem to be an option. Despite having other programs scheduled on those hours, the channels are being blacked out on my system until the game actually ends. Is that the way it is for everyone on DIRECTV?

DirecTV is a bit more timely with their sports packages start/end, they usually flip the switch for an RSN within minutes of the end of a game. That changes the required authorization from the sports subscription (extra innings) the the sports pack.

You'll see it happen late on occasion, but very rarely would it happen early (that would cut off the game for the sports subscription package, hypothetically).
