I just moved everything on the pole to west
Just scanned 97 west got 97 west just did 99 west got 99 west. I tried 87 west again found transponder but failed getting any channels same with 89 west got transponder but failed to get channels
You're getting close. Perhaps try moving the lnb slightly by moving it in or out a tiny bit while aimed at 87w

I moved the everything back to original (I marked everything marker) then I turned only the dish I got 87 west a little bit I got 1 channel DC channel and FLCH

Move west more?

I'm right on the verge of getting 87 w just a little to much each way moving dish I need to be more gentle. I was a heavy equipment mechanic for better than 40 years.Retired now It's not like torque a head on cummins....

Draw a pencil line on the post, to the dish mount. The thinness of that line is about how far you make moves... Having a line there for reference helps you a lot.

Hi all
I think I've got it or super close now.
I took it apart centered then re aligned the stab to south best I could.. then I found there's a tab sticking out on the dish to hold it on top of a pole.. I cut it off grinded it smooth. Put everything back on started scanning and I'm getting a bunch of satellite now, and the ones I don't get it's picking up the transponder but no channels. And one I don't get at all it goes real slow scanning as opposed to before it I zipped straight through 0 to 100% in a second.. that's what I've picked up so far and still scanning.
And it's getting the correct one's 97 west is 97 west etc. 103 is a fixed dish the rest are on the stab

Thanks to everyone I couldn't have got it completed without all you help... thanks again Clayton

I don't know if the h265 Amiko has the same issues as its predecessor the Mini HD RE, but I kept having an issue with that unit where from time to time I would lose all signal after changing satellites and I would have to turn the LNB power off and back on (with the menu setting). I don't know whether it's a software glitch or a hardware issue (maybe the combination of a PLL LNB and a motor overloads the power supply?) but I never saw anyone else mention it online even after I did.

That's exactly what I do it lose signal turn on power to lnb off and on signal comes back.
Or change the TP index and it comes back

What's a good brand box to get
Thanks Clayton

What's a good brand box to get
That's a very good question, and one which someone else will have to answer. I got an Edision OS Mio 4k because I wanted remote access and streaming video that worked without any special software on the receiving end and also access to other geeky things like objective signal strength and quality measurements and full modulation and codec specs. But it would be a steep learning curve for a beginner, because it runs a full open-source (except the hardware drivers) operating system instead of just the same old hard-coded menus on simpler boxes that are all pretty much the same no matter how they arrange them.

The Amiko series like you have get recommended a lot because they're fully certified to be sold in the U.S. and also don't come with any grey-market or black-market software options by default. But if there's a systemic problem, obviously something different is needed. I wonder if upgrading the power supply to a higher amperage would help, or whether the problem is the onboard circuitry? (Or, it could just be software, I never tried without the motor or with a non--PLL LNB to make sure, because the problem only occurred at random for me, not every time as it seems to be occurring for you.)

I think I may have solved it. You guy n gals know way more than I do about this stuff

Here's my theory I've been doing nothing but blind scans now I'm doing manual scans l'm getting way less channels like 97 west blind scan I get 114 channels I did manual scan got 7 channels etc etc on all satellites

I'm thinking I'm so far off on my dish settings I'm bleeding over and picking up channels from other satellite and when I go back from one say 97 west satellite to 87 west its looks for a channel on 87 west that it picked up in the blind scan but it actually on say 85 west so because it's not a blind scan it won't find because it's not there it on a different satellite.

Make sense to anyone? With the manual scan so far I've had 0 problems going back and for between satellites..

Whenever scanning 87W, I use 11795 V 5000. It is a data tp that won't scan in but is a powerhouse signal that can be more easily found than any other tps and which, if peaked, should allow you to see other tps on 87W. The Edision remote feature alone is a reason to buy it. With smartphone in hand, I can walk to the dish and peak it at anytime in minutes.

This is what I get in 87 west manual scan . So am I to far west or not enough west or elevation? I get 3 of 3 PBS channels

So where do I need to be more elevation or more west or east? Also picture is what I get on 97 west manual scan. It seems like I'm right in the middle..

Thanks everyone

I'm about 96.5432 % certain my signal lose was what I said. I have switch hooked up and 2 dish on the switch the stab and a fixed dish. 0 issue going back and forth since I didn't do any blind scan
But I know I'm way off. Just need some guidance on how to finish lining everything up

Is your dish aligned straight on the motor shaft? I had a problem with that once.

It appears to be . I just realized in reading online that you need to point stab to TRUE South not magnetic South. I did it with a compass magnetic South... found this online makes me 6° off true South
Use this to find TRUE South, find your exact coordinates on Google maps, and use that. Under the "satellites" drop-down, there's a setting for TRUE SOUTH / TRUE NORTH, find it. It'll overlay the map right on your property, and you can find True South by matching up landmarks for aiming the dish. I then used a long yellow cord and stake, and laid it out from the dish to out in the yard. Makes it easier, as it's a good "sight line" to true up the dish aim. DishPointer - Align your satellite dish

I have found that when you a lot of things down stream, on any of these boxes the power supply can not keep up sometimes. To remedy this, I use a 5-6 amp 12 volt supply. I have the same problem on one of my systems no matter the receiver brand.
I used to ship these boxes with a beefier supply just so this would never happen. I would take the supply it came with and throw it away and include a bigger power supply. Then the price went way up on them so it was not as cost effective. Most people I find do not use a USALS motor so I hardly ever hear of any problems. So, I just ship now with the standard 2 amp supply. If thing get better and prices better I may go back to including a bigger supply.

Then there is the thing, this is a hobby and if someone wants to put and extensive system after the receiver of switches, etc. They really need to use an external power source anyway...
