Manny AND Big Papi tested positive for Performing Enhancing Drugs in 2003!!!!

IF we had a REAL COMMISSIONER, this craziness would have NEVER happened. This person would have gotten rid of the list LIKE ORIGINALLY AGREED UPON...or he posted ALL THE NAMES the moment the government got their greedy little paws on it to prevent what is happening now.
It amazes me how nobody seems to want the job. How about a ex player? Plenty of them around.

SO let me get this straight....just because Big Papi SAYS he didn't take PEDs, then it MUST be true? And conicidentally, MLB and the Players Union states NOT ALL players on list tested positive....hmmmm, MLB is losing MORE and MORE credibility by the day..

So let me get this straight, just because the rag of Jason Blair and the profession of John Tomasse told me so, than it is true?

Who trusts the media, let alone the New York Times? Not Me!

So your saying Big Papi is telling the truth because what....? Because he is a Red Sox? Your kidding right? LMAO!

And the New York Times is telling the truth because they are a newspaper? The media is filled with the most dishonest people in the world, the only people who might be more dishonest are lawyers and politicians, and they are the source of the "leak"

I don't know who is telling the truth but I will never give the benefit of the doubt to anyone in the media.

People with radios think that truth is something you get to choose. I think of it as something that I attempt to adduce.

Did anything that Ortiz said contradict anything that the New York Times reported? If not, then how does believing or choosing to "believe" that one party or the other is telling the truth have anything to do with this?

If the New York Times has reported that a source who claims to have seen the list had informed it that Ortiz was on that list, then I am inclined to conclude, first, that a source who claims to have seen the list and informed the New York Times that Ortiz was on the list did, indeed inform the New York Times that Ortiz was on the list, and second, that the New York Times used its professional standards in determining whether that source had sufficient credibility to make it worthy to rely upon. That is why so many normal people rely on the New York Times for news.

Ortiz claims he was not informed that he had tested positive for steroids, and I don't think anyone has challenged that. He also said he was, "careless" in taking supplements. What in hell does that mean?

I have read of different plausible explanations of why a player might have been named on the list even if he hadn't taken a prohibited performance enhancing drug. One is that if a player refused to be tested, he automatically made the list. Another is that the test tested for something that was only recently prohibited, but that the player might have taken back when it was still legal and enough of it appeared in his sample so as to be detectable. Another is that the tests were imperfect and might have resulted in some false positive findings.

Dude...you are in complete denial. LOL! You just cannot believe your beloved Papi could do such a thing. Well guess what? He is using ALL the excuses ALL the other have more or less used. YOU and other have to realize that that was "the culture" before the testing....Bronson Arroyo said it perfectly when he said:

Before (2004), none of us paid attention to what we took. That's why I said anybody could be on the list. Back then, nobody knew what was in the stuff, because the (Federal Drug Administration) wasn't regulating all of it.

Oh yeah, Arroyo was a Red Sox TOO....

Hmmmm...I was wondering how come Big Mouth Curt Schilling has not chimed in on this. Could it be that maybe, he beaing part of those 2 World Series Championship Red Sox team, now has NO testicular fortitude to comment on Big Papi and Manny??!! The man that basically wanted to string every OTHER big name that took PEDs...sudden has swallowed his tongue....??!!

...'AMAZING BUT TRUE!' ....:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

On the contrary....HE is the one that usually goes out of his way to make sure everyone and his mother knows how he feels about cheaters...but the moment one of HIS "boys" does the dirty deed...suddenly, he a tad more sympathetic and understanding....not the usual 'lets burn them at the stake' attitude.... I went to his 38 pitch thing morning when I friend mentioned that he was awfully quiet in all the Manny and Big Papi stuff came out....and he was simple question and answer and not is usual BS editorial of how he is GOD's gift to all that is pure...

A sheep in the sports world is someone that cannot see that is own team was just as dirty as ALL the others he so desperately bashes....;)

Wow, I just read it. No wonder it wasn't fed to the sheep...the sheep would fall asleep. Incredibly soft from Schilling...boring.

Actually, it makes Schilling sound like a sheep himself. Where is the demand to throw cheaters out of the game? Where is the demand to not let them into the Hall of Fame? Where is the fire and brimstone, Curt?

'That's for you to decide'. Jeez, really? That's not what Schilling said when Yankees were being outed! Typical Schilling.

Exactly! That's why he is the biggest douche nozzle in all of baseball. He goes out of his way to preach HIS GOSPEL according to him....but ONLY when it suits him.
