It was a great BOXING match. It was not a brawl. It was not a movie. It was a real tactician's boxing match. Floyd was fighting his fight and Manny could not land his punches because Floyd was defending well. Floyd landed many more punches and won fair and square.

YOUR definition of a great "boxing" match. MY definition involves some sort of punching. I appreciate defense as much as anyone else, and to me, a brawl does not define a good boxing match....but I would like some punches thrown on occasion....which did not happen.

in the Mayweather/Paquiao fight, there were a total of:
864 punches thrown. 435 - 429
229 Punches landed. 148/34% - 81/19%
360 Jabs thrown. 267 - 193
85 Jabs Landed 67/25% - 18/9%
404 Power Punches thrown 168 - 236
144 Power Punches landed 81/48% - 63/27%

I think that qualifies as a lot of freaking punches thrown!

Manny says his shoulder was jacked up. there was something wrong with him, he throws hundreds of more punches on average. this must be his lowest in a 12 rounder.

Mayweather v Pacquiao rematch takes major hit as Manny is forced to have shoulder surgery

Manny Pacquiao could be out of the gym for six months after surgery later this week to repair a "significant tear" in his right shoulder rotator cuff, orthopedic surgeon Dr. Neal ElAttrache has explained.

It qualifies for just below the Mayweather average of punches before this fight:

the question is now is Maywather wiling to wait a year for rematch and if he loose to Pacquioao, can he retire off a loss? or are we looking at a 3rd match?

Salsa, you will never be convinced it was a good fight. I will never be convinced that what I saw was a bad fight. So I guess discussing it further is irrelevant.

That's just it Tony....NO ONE will. So you are in the very low minority in your assessment. So you are absolutely correct. But we will agree to disagree.
