I am interested in subscribing to extra innings, but have Dish for eveything else. What is the minimum programing requirement with Direct? With a 24 month commitment, can you still suspend the account for non season? I would want the HD package as well. Would I need to sign up for the regional sports package in order to get the HD feeds? What sats would I need to point at? TIA.

Minimum Programming: Family $29.99

Suspend: 6 months

HD Access: $9.99

Superfan for MLBEI HD: $50.00

Sportspack: Not needed for HD feeds

MLB in HD: Priceless:)

Just a note: The Family Package does not have your RSN included, you would have to get at least Choice ($52.99) to get it. You would not get your hometeam on MLBEI - only out of market games.

DIRECTV: MLB EXTRA INNINGS

Pretty good summary there.

You could also go the international route, the lowest package there is $19.99, but nets you no programming (that you want) except the right to buy extra innings.

This is exactly how I have it setup. I only use Direct so I can have the MLBEI package. I have no reason to switch completely from Dish. It works real well for me because I can suspend my account off season without paying any fees.
