MPEG2 Western Arc shutoff

I noticed that even after the big flip over to MPEG4 and moving all the remainder of the SD channels off of 129 that the SD version of PAC12 Network (channel 409) is still around. From what I see, it is the only SD channel left where there is an HD version on satellite. Is the SD version of 409 scheduled to be removed on 6/20 as well? I find it strange that 409 SD is not on eastern arc, but it is still on western arc. Josh.M do you have any insight into why that channel is still on western arc?

Does anyone subscribe to any of the adult channels that could tell me what transponder they are currently on? Typically Dish keeps all the adult channels on their own transponder. Any of the channels 481-499 would do.
zippyfrog, XTSY channel 498 & TEN channel 494 are on bird 119. Where can I find what transponder they are on?

UPDATE: Both channels are on transponder 15.

I don't, but I also don't have any info that would suggest it is going away...so it could be anything from a contract stipulation with the programmer or Charlie loves that channel in SD (I have no clue :) ).

Dish needs to go ahead and release a software upgrade that will remove 129 sat support as soon as possible especially if it’s already empty lol.

They’re supposed to be doing that on the 20th and in a corner mile on the north road report I saw this morning it looks like all of the remaining locals have been removed from the 129. A lot of the duplicate channels that existed on the higher numbers like the 9000s, the 6000s and what not, it looks like those were removed permanently,

As of right now I still have all the 9000's for the HD channels. So my guess is that change is going to be coming very shortly. That will be nice not having all those duplicate higher number channels. Thank you for reporting that piece of info!

I’ll go back and look again. It may be tonight that those are moving.

Actually, I’ll just copy paste it here. And I see that it’s set for tomorrow night.

Thank you for that information! As I read through that, I take the "complete takedown" section as removing the national HD channels that were on the spotbeams for Alaska/Hawaii that were on 129. I feel like the 4300's and 4400's national HD channels were on spotbeams for Alaska/Hawaii. I am surprised that Channel 308 is not listed there since 307 is there - when Dish came to the agreement with Cinemax, they added 308 at the same time, and I would think they would be setup the same in terms of locations on the satellites.

Only if the customer refuses a Hopper upgrade

If any customers want to upgrade to Hopper/Joey system I would recommend either Hopper 2 or Hopper 3 depending on how many TVs to be connected. Those receivers are pretty good.

I heard there are lots of 722s and 211s still in stock even though they’re not in production anymore. lol. If Dish runs out of stock of 722s and 211s then customers will possibly have to upgrade to Hopper Joey system. Also I heard Dish is remanufacturing Hopper 2 and Hopper 3, is this true?
