Here's the adapter and they have a diagram there: DIRECTV Ethernet Coax Adapter DECA (DECA1MR01) - DIRECTV - DECA1MR01 - Basically, this adapter connects to your switch or LNB to your router.

I think the last I heard the charge was $25 for the kit. It is $60 if ordered through Solid Signal.
