I have a R22-100 and HR22-100 as my direct receivers. I had the beta mrv and just called to have them turn it back on. I know I have to pay the fee each month and am happy to do so. I was told that my R22-100 is not compatible with that program and would need a new receiver. I told him it worked before and is HD since they upgraded the software and I can watch HD on it. I have it networked through the router in the house. Is the guy right?
 
As far as D* policy goes, yes. The R22 will work with MRV, but to get activated you need at least two HD receivers on your account (one of which must be an HR* series). Since D*'s computers consider the R22 an SD box, you can't activate. I know, drag.
 
Maybe you could tell them that you plan to go to the competition if they don't agree that the R22 is actually an HD receiver as configured?

Or to swap it out with no extension of any commitment.
