There has been Music Choice channels in test for a little while. I thought I read in the transponder maps site that they were going to Puerto Rico.

Why would D want two different music channels.

i think he's saying that Sonic Tap is getting replaced with Music Choice. i think it looks like Sonic Tap's deal with DirecTV is expiring and DirecTV reached a agreement with Music Choice set to start as soon as Sonic Tap's deal expires.

does UVerse have Sonic Tap or Music Choice, cause if UVerse has Music Choice while DirecTV has Sonic Tap, then it makes sense that DirecTV should have the same music channels as UVerse due to AT&T owning both Paid TV services.

Those channels have shown up on my HR24 guide starting 2-9.

What's odd is that there are no Music Choice channels called Malt Shop Favorites or 60s Movement. The 50s/60s channel is one channel, it's called Solid Gold Oldies and has been forever. Considering Music Choice is partially owned by the big cable cable companies, I would find it surprising if DirecTV got some exclusive channels.

Money talks. :) music choice needs all the subscribers they can get no matter where they come from.

I wish they would also add the 6 or 7 Music Choice music video channels as well. Those are great!

Could care less about the music channels.

They are great for my car radio, but no use at home in my Tv package

Are they providing the linear music video channel MC Play on Directv as well? Why don't Music Choice provide the linear music video channels they provide on their app/website on TV providers like DirecTV? They have 25 of them. It would be good if they could have a few of the main ones on TV.

Music Choice will replace Sonic Tap on the 10th.

Wonder if this switch to MC will alleviate my problem with DIRECTV's annoyance of keeping my sister's favorite, Sonic Tap's "Holidays & Happenings" music channel, on the 119°W satellite.

Forcing me to use a SL-5 LNBF just for one music channel.

Much to the disdain of my sister of course if MC doesn't even carry H&H.

Music Choice has Sounds of the Seasons that rotates music based on whatever holiday or event is on the calendar.

Yes, I figured MC would naturally have something comparable to ST's H&H.

I just hope that in the changeover DIRECTV will permanently place "SoS" on 101°W where it belongs. And not stick it out on 119°W like H&H, which makes no sense at all ...
