Yeah, the Local team, Toledo Rockets made the top 25 in the BCS as well as the other polls I would imagine ... they play some fun football most weeks.

For those of you not wanting to watch the Elections all night (the end is all that counts anyways) the Rockets are on ESPN2 Tuesday night at 8 pm.

The Superdome in New Orleans will be the site of the new marquee bowl matching the Southeastern Conference and Big 12, and the game will still be called the Sugar Bowl.
The conferences made the announcement Tuesday. The agreement between the leagues and the bowl is for 12 years, and ESPN will hold the TV rights.
The SEC has a long history with the Sugar Bowl. Seventy-one times an SEC team has played in the game, far more than any other league. The very first Sugar Bowl in 1935 matched Tulane, then of the SEC, against Temple.
''New Orleans and the Sugar Bowl are synonymous with post-season college football. For many years, fans have enjoyed the color and pageantry that New Orleans offers,'' SEC Commissioner Mike Slive said in a statement. ''We look forward to competing against the Big 12 as a new championship tradition begins on New Year's Day.''

I've had some good times at the Sugar Bowl. Saw Bama and the Bear beat Penn St., and Georgia and Herschel beat Notre Dame, both for the NC. Also saw LSU play there several times, and got to see my daughter march the halftime show when Cincy played Florida a few years back.

I'm still holding out hope that the Tigers get to the Sugar again this year. If Bama smacks Georgia in the SECCG, and Florida State knocks off Florida, it could happen as long as LSU does their job the rest of the season.

Ramy, why don't you interview for the Kentucky gig?

You can't do any worse than Joker Phillips has done.

Nah, I would always be in the shadow of Coach Cal and the basketball team.

WAR EAGLE!!!
Keep dreaming.....lol

Actually, as far as national title implications go, you guys are sitting in the perfect spot if the others lay an egg, which could happen.

Who knows, a two SEC champ game once again? Bama vs Florida for the title? Oh, the meltdown would be epic. lol

that school from Louisiana giving the gators all they can handle. Our offense is god awful. Either Brent Peese is not as good as we though, or Will Muschamp is not letting him loose. Our team is extremely undisciplined on the offensive side of the ball. Penalty after penalty turn over after turn over. Its just disgusting and hard to watch. In what should be a complete domination we are tied. 3 to 3... Luckily our defense can play with any team in the league or wed be having a hard time even being bowl eligible.

ULL has taken the lead in to the 4th quarter. The offense is beyond putrid. No wide receivers, and a horrible offensive line.

Absolutely terrible holding call on 4th and 7 with the game on the line. Just terrible... pathetic call against the U...should have been game..

Meh, Florida is overrated. Cajuns blew that game against the Gators. Outplayed them the entire game then went conservative, and played for the OT on the last drive. Coaches should have let them continue with what was working.

ULL played like it's the best college team in the state of Louisiana.

It's still early but if A&M keeps this up we could be looking at a no SEC championship game. Bama might come back but I think there is almost zero chance of a 2 SEC championship game again. As long as there are unbeaten teams from BCS schools SEC teams with losses don't belong there.
