Need the Following information From Voom Subs

Two HD sets Sony XBR 34" CTR widescreen with DVI at 1080i. Panasonic 30" CTR widescreen with component at 1080i. Two Voom STB.

Hitachi 57" CRT (all input scaled to 1080p, display output ~1080i). Component hookup. Same results noted below with stb set to 720p/1080i/native.

Tom Petty on RAVE last night, picture seemed softer than before. Watched OTA CSI afterwards, blew VOOM picture away (previously there was a less noticeable difference OTA vs VOOM). Watching RUSH Hit & Run right now, picture soft with noticeable blocking.

All in all seems just a step above DVD PQ, no skeeters noticed yet though.

I just switched from DISH and I'm disappointed in the PQ (on ALL HD channels).

Sony Wega XBR700. It's the biggest tube you can buy and I couldn't find the native resolution but it can receive 1080i if that helps and I'm using component cables.

Dvi and Component

I have a Mitsubish 65813 Diamond and use DVI, with gold plated dvi cables, and also Monstor Power Conditioner Box to filter the Sateliite signal before it goes in Box. I like pic quaility of Dvi, more sharper since i have tweaked the DVI, increased contrast and color using Mitsubishi Perfect color to get better color saturation.

I have Component also connected but hardly ever use it.

I also have small Sony 27 inch in bedroom using RF out of voom box, which is not HD, for watching while going to bed
