I read somewhere that the Hopper can access media stored on an NAS. However, I have not seen any directions on what to buy and how to set it up. I have a few questions below.

1) Am I able to watch movies in which I bought the digital copy?
2) Will any network hard drive work?
3) Is there a good How-To available to set this up?

Thanks for all of your help!

The NAS would have to work as a DLNA server (many do). A standard HTTP/FTP/network share will not work. Setup is wholly dependent on the server device. Once on the DLNA server is on the network, it should show up automatically under the Home Media option in the Hopper/Joey main menu.

Search the Hopper forum for DLNA to find a thread with discussions of various servers that have and have not worked.

I have the Netgear ReadyNAS and enabled the DLNA support on the NAS device. I can get to all of my media stored on the device from the Hopper.
