Is 501 software for the 501 specifically, or are they using that name to designate the whole line including 508 and 510?

Good catch on both BobaBird. They have L4.33, L3.45 and L4.31 for the 211s. I don't know why.

9/24/2007: 1532 Software Version L4.31 for ViP 211/DISH 411

Effective Tuesday, September 25th, Engineering plans to spool a PARTIAL PHASE of software version L4.31 for the ViP 211/DISH 411 receiver. This is primarily a non-forced maintenance release available at ALL satellite locations.
At this time L3.45, L4.31, and L4.33 will be the valid software versions for the ViP 211/DISH 411.

It's for the 5xx receivers, in the stream log they just put 501 so I got to remember to change it to 5xx and not just the 501.

Hit Sys Info and look at your R00 number. If it falls in this range:
56229293-56115994
you should be getting the update.

Two or three times a week. On weekends they spool beta software to the beta testers.

I'm having a little bit of a hard time trying to "catch on". Is this current post superseding your old post of the 5xx spooling? I THINK I am not in the spool range because all the R00 starts with 5 something...and from what I have with mine..it starts with 3 something. So, I am obviously not in the spool correct? I DO have 24AB DCED - N and 24AB DCKD - N for both my 501s. Dish is eventually going to spool to ALL 50x recievers? Also, currently, I have P 3.69 on both 501s.

The latest post supersedes the previous range. P4.00 is spooling to all 5xx receivers except for the ones that have P3.69. In the previous post, it was going to a range of receivers (56229293-56115994). I would think that they will spool to everyone starting next Tuesday.

As of right now you should NOT get it because you're at P3.69. I don't really know if they will spool P4.00 to everyone this week since I just saw a new beta software spooling. So maybe P4.00 has some bugs. We'll see.

So the ones who have P3.69....we're left out in the cold? Man..guess it was too good to be true for the rest of us die hard holdouts. Thats ok...keep my chin up tho. I'll be getting the 722 in the next month or two and I'll be happily NBR'ing away hehehe.
