NFL 2022

So 2018, 2019, was what then?

If you’re talking about the Super Bowl against the Rams, yes that was absolutely the defense stepping up. Against Jared Goff mind you, but that was a great game by the defense. Getting to the Super Bowl? Brady, Brady and Brady again. Yes, their defense was good, but no one will ever confuse them with the ‘85 Bears or ‘00 Ravens.

I also have always hated the “what have you done for me lately” mentality that tends to permeate in sports, but that’s not what this is about (at least not for me). For me it’s about the absolute power that Belichick has with seemingly no accountability. That was fine when Brady was here, because I think it is now quite evident that he covered up a lot of mistakes. I’m admittedly saying this in hindsight, but I think the sample size of with/without Brady is now big enough to do so. I don’t want Belichick to be fired, but I don’t want the status quo going forward either. Kraft needs to take back control.

Bill is now 23-22 since Tom left. that's not bad. not like the next best coach of his time will land with the Pats. Problem the Pats have is Bill is now 70, looking for the clay.

Unfortunately, we are in and have been in a "What have you done for me lately" society ...
Hell, it actually, what have you done for me Today, you don't get time to do anything anymore.

Coaches use to get at least 4 years to get your guys in and going, now your gone in 2 or 3 sometimes less.

Great day for the Red Zone Channel today. The early window has Jets-Vikings, Titans-Eagles and Commanders-Giants, and then the late window has Chiefs- Bengals and Dolphins-49ers. No question this is the deepest slate of quality games thus far.

Lamar Jackson out with a knee injury, and the Ravens are trailing the Broncos 9-3.

Tom without Bill = 32-14 regular season, 5-1 playoffs, 1 SB ring
Bill without Tom = 40-41 regular season, 0-1 playoffs, 0 rings

And that track record is over. The name of the game is what have you done for me lately?? Not 5 years ago. Losing teams lose revenue.

This is what I’ve been saying. Belichick’s only career postseason win was AGAINST the Patriots and Bill Parcells on New Year’s Day 1995. Every other postseason win he’s had was when Brady was his QB.

Otherwise, for once, everything the Bills needed to happen did. Losses by NE, Jet, Miami and KC puts us back in 1 seed and after winning a record 3 road games in 12 days, the Bills may be on the verge of being where they started the season

I kept thinking they Could have and should have had Justin Fields ... (Or Mac Jones, they apparently loved him at the time, or at least it was reported that way at the time).

Of course had they drafted Fields, I doubt that Garropolo would have re signed.

I can imagine what Fields Might be doing with a team that HAS an O Line and a DEFENSE, so he doesn't have to do everything himself.

It may sound crazy, but with 5 weeks still remaining I think seeds 1-6 in the AFC are all but sewn up. The Bills, Chiefs, Bengals, Ravens, Titans and Dolphins are all virtual locks to make the postseason at this point. The only questions are who gets the coveted #1 seed and who wins the AFC North. The last spot will be between the Jets, Chargers, Patriots and now the Raiders have emerged as a dark horse for that spot. The Jets have the best chance to get that spot, but would lose out on the head to head tiebreaker against the Patriots. The Chargers are by far the most talented of this group, but can never be trusted. Don’t be surprised if the Raiders sneak into the 7 seed with a 9-8 record.

Strange take to fire Bill. I for Just this once agree with you he should stay until he wants to leave. Tom was drafted 199 for a reason, he was not very good.
Dr. Bill Frankenstein built that Monster. he was lucky to find the clay to do so, but still.
if Bill was 60 instead of 70 would bet he could build another one.

Giants-Commanders flexed to SNF on 12/18, moving the Pats-Raiders to 1:05pm PST, broadcast by FOX.

Here’s the complete schedule for Week 15. Changes are in bold print. Saturday’s schedule besides Dolphins-Bills kinda sucks. That’s why I thought there was a chance that Giants-Commanders was going to Saturday as part of the triple header, and Pats-Raiders was staying on SNF.
