NFL coaches that are out the DOOR!!

The coaching was not the main reasons for the Raiders aches and pains.
Injuries, terrible QB play, inexperienced WRs and a tougher schedule all played a hand.
I saw this great stat on ESPN yesterday, ONLY the Colts and the Saints had a better record than the Raiders when the difference was than 4 points.
The Raiders were 5-1 in those games. AND Cable has huge backing from just about everyone in the locker room except Russell.

So your comments come from someone that did NOT follow the team.

I disagree, injuries are often a product of conditioning, not just bad luck, terrible QB play is 100% a coaching and management problem, and to a degree so is inexperienced WRs since Walker was sitting on the bench the entire season. The Raiders just needed an experienced set of hands to rely on in some situations and they refused to either play Walker or bring in someone to help the young WRs.

The Raiders coaches and management easily left 3-4 wins on the table this year and as a result forfeited any chance of contesting the division due to not having more reliable passing game, and due to the insisted development of a floundering Jamarcus Russell.

Per the offseason moves so far, it looks like they're setting up to do it again next year unless they go into it with Jamarcus on a much shorter 2009 Brady Quinn-like leash.

Sorry....You are off there. Cable CLEARLY did not want Russell to play QB and went as far as he could with him at the insistance of THE main guy in charge...the owner. That has NOTHING to do with the coaching staff.

As far as Walker...neither YOU nor I were at the practice, so neither of us know WHY he was not started. The Raiders wanted to go with you, alot of the experience, or lack there of, is part of the growning pains of having a young WRs crew.

Now as far as "easily" leaving 3-4 wins on the table....how, there was only 2 teams with better record that the Raiders in games decided by 4 points or less....the Colts and the Saints....the Raiders were 5-1 in those games.

And SOME injuries can be due to conditioning....and conditioning is ALL up to the player.

Raiders Hire Clancy Pendergast

Pendergast gets job with Raiders | ProFootballTalk.com

I LOVE this quote!:D:up

February 6, 2010 8:30 PM As a DB coach that is a good hire.

Lets see here -
In the past 2 weeks we've seen Waufle (the DLine coach for the Giants the past several years), Hue Jackson (Flacco's QB coach the last 2 years), and now Pendergast (SuperBowl runner up DC 2 years ago) all hired by the Raiders.
These are quality coaching hires. So it makes no sense that the Raiders are making these moves, because they usually dont make quality coaching hires. At least not over the last few years.
Florio - find out what's going on behind the Wizard's curtain in Oakland. These moves dont reek of dysfunction, so something must be up over there.

Rumors are nice, but when Jamarcus settles in under center next year, all those hopes and dreams will just come crashing down again. The people taking head coaching jobs with the Raiders are generally people who want to be a head coach and/or don't have many options. When Al Davis fires a coach he doesn't generally fire the staff, and promotes one of them instead.

Oh yea you are correct. Who knows what will happen with Jamarcus. I do know they will have more then one QB on the team so i guess we have to wait and see. Oh yea What was the chiefs record this year?;)

Worse than the Raiders, but you honestly would rather be in your position than mine? The Raiders need to find a new QB and a new coaching staff probably before they contend again. It could be a long decade. Until then, they'll just be spoilers like both of our teams were this past year. The Chiefs have a QB that has proven he can play with the right support around him, a pair of coordinators that helped our GM build the Patriots dynasty, there's a lot of reason for hope in Kansas City. The only question there is can they rebuild the team before the window closes on this staff and Weis/Crennel move on to become HCs again.

Honestly Mine. The window for the pieces you have might be too small. Any QB could have played in the system New England had. Don't get me wrong i think the chiefs have made great moves and are going to get better.

Besides we have this!!!!

I am trying to understand your post. IF a respected football guy makes a positive comment about the Raiders...it's more than likley just a rumor...but if made about your team or others...it's somewhat present of a good possibility?

I mean how do YOU know that something might have clicked in his head and that maybe...just maybe, he better get his act together or he is gone and he will be considered the biggest bust since Tony Mandrich? There are time you are the most knowledgeable NFL guy here...and times, you sound like the typical hater that seems upset his team sucks.:confused:

This isn't worth arguing, the kool-aid is already too deep in here.

There is no kool-aid. Nobody here has criticized his own team MORE than I have. At the same token...and on many occassions...deservedly so, no other team has taken more flack than the Raiders do on this sight. There were PLENTY of teams that sucked alot worse than the Raiders...and they did not get the same heat.

IF what Adam Schefter states something about JaMarcus Russell that isn't negative...who are the non-Raiders fans are to deny it? Same applies when him saying something negative about the team or Russell...who are the Raiders fans to deny it?

...it's a two way street.
