The North Face Expedition: Shelter from the Storm

Take a trek to Baffin Island, located in the Canadian Artic, for a multi-sport expedition that combines extreme adventure with philanthropy. Four North Face athletes try to become the first all-female team to ski the remote and seldom visited east coast of Baffin Island. The athletes also give back to the Inuit community by renovating and working at a shelter designed for women and children escaping violent situations. The month-long expedition will be a test of survival as these courageous sportswomen battle the harshest conditions, while skiing some of the world’s toughest unknown terrains. The third of Rush HD’s original epic adventure specials, The North Face Expedition Series travels to some of the world’s most remote and visually spectacular locations and puts the spotlight on The North Face’s Global Giving Philanthropic Expedition Program, which funds and promotes overseas community-based social, environmental, and economic development projects.
