After reading all the posts about the openbox remote I decided to try a universal remote on my S9. I made sure to get one with the learning function. After programming all of my other equipment (tv,surround sound,dvr,vcr..etc). I put the universal remote in the "learn" mode and programmed the S9's buttons into it one by one. I set each button in SAT mode on the universal for what I wanted it to be. It had all of he normal one like menu, exit, channel up & down volume up & down and so forth. Then I set one for the sat list button. Now I have one remote for everything like I had before with a viewsat. $ 12.98 at wally world

does your universal work better than the stock ? ive had a harmony 720 sitting here for a year now. maybe i should program it for the sso.

crackt out,.

I will say the original remote sucked and the new improved replacement doesn't have much farther range than the first remote...maybe I'll get the wallymart one too....Blind
