Hi All,

I am stay at Midway Atoll. (28N, 177W)
I have old analog C-band Satellite TV system included 22' mesh dish, LNB and analog receiver.
I got signal from Galaxy 14. But now almost all channel changed to digital.
I bought new FTA receiver is Fortec star Mercury-II.
I can get 4 free channels like JCTV and etc.
But I want to watch CNN, HLN, WGN, TNT, TBS, HBO and etc.
I used power scan of My mercury-II and found those channels are scrambled channel.
I ready to pay for those channel. But I do not know who is a provider.
And what is the receiver can get scrambled channels.

Thank you for any answers.

The 4DTV (DC-2) can subscribe to most of those channels. NO DVB (mercury 2) will get any of those unless there ITC, or can subscribe to them, they are in PowerVu.

The 4dtv can decode Digicipher 2 non megapipe (combo). It's very old school. With the rapid change of codec's these days it's hard for anyone to keep up.

I would like to get TNT, CNN USA East, HLN East and etc. on 3800 H / TP5. (Galaxy 14)
The Receiver 4dtv dsr905/920/922 cannot get those, Right?
If yes, How can I get those channels?
What is a good receiver for PowerVU? and How much cost?
Is it worth for buy PowerVU receiver now?

Sorry for too many question and bad english.
I am new in satellite and very dummy guy.

Thank you all.

no you cannot subscribe to them on G5/14

Powervu is a specific scrambling technique used for cable companies/satellite companies like Dish & Direct. The receivers are commercial grade and they (Scientific Atlanta) wont activate them unless you are a cable company/Direct/Dish (have to show lots of proof to them)

You can subscribe to those channels via Galaxy 3 (95W) through nps
