I apologize if this has been addressed somewhere and I missed it but I went through the eastern arc thread and to be honest I am somewhat confused.

I am in Northern KY and now that the Cincy locals are in HD I would like to get them. I have the new smart cards that were sent out a couple months ago in both of my 622s, I have an HD package and get my locals in SD, I also have two dishes on my roof already as they said that was the best thing to do back in September of '07 when I upgraded to HD. It looks like I am pointing to 61.5, 110, and 119 and from what I understand I need to be pointing to 77 I guess to get the Cincy HD locals.

I guess my main question is what do I need to do to get the HD locals. Is it something that I can do on my own, do I need to call Dish, do I need different equipment?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated as my OTA works ok but I can never consistantly get al of my locals to come in with it.

You need to get a dish 1000.4. This will eliminate the need for 2 seperate dishes and you will be able to pick up all your programming from 61.5 - 72.7 & 77. I would call dish and ask them if they would upgrade your dish at no charge....see what they will offer to do.

Even if you have to pay an upgrade fee it's worth it in my opinion as long as it's not too much.

Really all you need to do is call dish and tell them you want your HD Locals, you already have all of the equipment and the correct orbital locations, they just need to send a signal to your reciever and charge you for the locals!

Yes, you need to point @ 77°w. Dish needs to replace your dishes with a single 1000.4 dish. I would give them a call and they should schedule a service to upgrade. I would be pissed if they charged for this.
