Questions about The Hopper?

Why would want more than one hopper?
More tuners to accommodate pain in the butt kids and family members who tie up a lot of tuners with their shows.

If three tuners and PTAT are enough for you, then your needs match the more typical households. The extra hopper is for households with a lot more needs and/or people.

Also, once the Hopper integration becomes active, 2 Hoppers will be seen by the entire system as one big DVR.

hopefully not "922 soon"

Wonder what will come first. BBMP on the 922, Integrated Hoppers, or Hopper OTA support.

I'd have lived to have gotten two hoppers, but a 2 hopper set up isn't allowed. A hopper/joey will give me the same number of tuners as I currently have, but it would have been nice to double them up!

I really do not see why customers can't get a Hopper without a Joey. It's not like the Hopper is dependant on the Joey. Very odd.

Business decision. As Bob would say, with some accuracy, a beancounter decision. And one they can pretty well get away with.

I have just completed comparing my Dish package with what I'd get with Fios. If I moved, I'd miss Cooking TV and some movie channels that Fios charges extra for. But I'd gain a few channels also, a couple of particular interest to my wife. They have a whole home DVR here with a whopping 80 hours of SD storage! Dish safely has my business; the savings aren't worth it. But if Fios ever brings a great DVR to this neck of the woods, I might be gone.
